All,
I just wanted to share with you my personal experience with this handy handy tool. Priced at $129 it cannot be beat, not even by MUCH more expensive meters. I hesitated on buying this meter for years, instead relying on my other favorite tool my MFJ-259B. I would use the MFJ with the precise inductors and capacitors you need to purchase and then look at the frequency and do a small calculation... what a waste of my time. I frequently have to make/measure small inductances less that 1uh and I had been getting so tired of the MFJ. Also this excels in testing small value capacitors.

I had tried all the other meters i could find for $50 or less from ebay and they either didnt have a small enough range or the resolution sucked.

If you do any work in radio you NEED this tool.

I do recommend getting slightly longer leads made of a solid core wire because the suplied ones are good for board level stuff and thats it.

Check his site out at L/C Meter II, a digital inductance meter / capacitance meter.

It's a great meter and well worth the money. have to agree with LinearOne. It makes life so much simpler. Aren't ya glad i finally talked you into buying one. LOL

I'd have to agree, bought mine about 3 months ago, just like Linearone I put it off for a couple years, finally broke down (y)

Get the kit though, simple, and fun to toss together, saves a little cash in the process...
