Magnetic Loop Antennas

I started a new thread here regarding these Loop antennas, so as not to get lost in the first thread that we hijacked.
If anyone wants to talk about ML antennas, this thread is open for discussion.

Also, MFJ makes a Tuner that is used with Your own wire loop, there is some good info here as well about the size of loop needed for different bands

Magnetic loops can provide excellent results but be aware of the RF exposure around them. Short loops have a much higher level of near field intensities than a dipole.

i thought the coca cola can, water, syringe tuning was very ingenious. i was able to understand a few of the portuguese words since i know some spanish, but on his initial test his contact was in spanish and was able to follow all of that.

Because YOU have an Uncanny ability to build things out of stuff sitting around the shop that most people would never dream of using....and I know you enjoy trekking into the unknown!
and Building a variable Capacitor out of 4 coke cans is kind of neat!
