ONLY a 2000GTL?

well, the 2000 is a legend, how many other bases ran a production time of 17+ years? Problem is they were priced too cheap at 369 and too many guys got them easily. Put them at 500 and anyone who got one would appreciate it! I've had Galaxy's, Stryker, over 100 radios since 1976 and the 2000 and Madison are 2 of the best out there....not incl. any tube units. None of these other manufacturers except President / Uniden made a rig for 17 years, not even close. The Washington went and returned many times, same with Madison. Heck...other makes make a radio for 3 years they discontinue it! So saying it's "only" a 2000? Yes...the best top of the line Cobra ever made. Better than most others on the market....I'd give $800 if I had it for a NIB 2000GTL.....better radio than all this other China and Malaysian made crap made today. Ya can't knock it....pretty sweet. And tax refund season is coming.....looking to add 6 good rigs to the collection here in sunny Miami!!!

NEW? -----NOT

This is false. You go here and look again....under the % MOD switch along front edge there's a ding on the aluminum along front edge. Says "dusty in the switches"? You call this NEW? NO BOX? Cummon....look here: ..........................Cobra 2000 GTL CB Radio For Sale.......NEW!

What a joke. I bought a Realistic TRC-457 out of Canada listed as mint and it actually was better than what I expected, looked like a brand new radio. So I bought an Astatic D104 also, NIB, and it was spotless. You get what you pay for. But I like da creme ov de crop stuff too.

I bought 4 items in past 5 years from them too and every one was A-1 new and I can't say I see another seller on there with that great variety at any price of vintage stuff. No-one can knock another person with 200+ new items to sell unless they can have the same to offer themselves. I sure can't, I don't have that available. Never will. I just like good untampered with stuff...I can get screwdrivered junk anywhere!

I will sell you 2 NOS NIB Cobra 2000s for $1600 plus shipping if you have money growing on trees. I will also sell you 2 NOS/NIB Malaysian Cobra 148 FGTLs for $400 a piece plus shipping and 2 Cobra 148 GTLs from Malaysia for $300 a piece plus shipping.
How about a NOS Texas Ranger 296 which is a Malaysian 148 with a Texas Ranger nameplate....I'll take $275 shipped for it.
Cough up the money and I'll ship them to Lil Havana. I will even test them too at no additional charge.

If you like paying 3-4 times the going rate, then by all means keep overpaying.

I never said collectiblez_4-u items weren't pricey, but then again I'm a firm believer in that "you get what you pay for". And in my transactions with collectiblez_4-u I always got what I paid for.

According to some web-sites the dollar was worth around 2.79 in the late 70s
compared to todays dollar. So if you were willing to buy a new in the box 2000gtl today then the price would not be 350 but more like 976.50
Now most of you say-i would never pay that today for a radio but i can tell you that in the 80s when i purchased mine new for i think 369.00 i had to save up for what seemed an eternity as i only brought home i think about 180bucks a week after taxes.
You get what you pay for and you pay for what you truly want!
BTW- I just bought a Les Baer custom and believe me there are 45s that go for way more than what i gave for this one. Now how many of you guy's would never pay more than 500 for a 1911.
