The quad 5 is made by top gun technologies as far as I know . Got a new in the box have yet to hook it up

Clones clones so many clones.... Just like the Magnum 1 & Maxxlog, galaxy 88 & Northstar 8800 etc. Minor changes but more than likely built on the same assembly line.

I have had this Anytone AT555N and liked it hated the way the mic. mounted though. This had great TX and RX.

I'm always looking to replace the mic on my 6666 too. I'm afraid I'll choose wrong! hahaha

The mic is too light, too small and the cord doesn't stretch well.. those are my thoughts.

What kind of reports do you get compared to the stock mic-eee? Everyone says the stock mic sounds fine - and that's great - I just hate using it!

Not the same radio but on my AT6666 most any power Mic sounds good. I can also use my Hial PR781 and it sounds great also. I have had great reports with my 575 M6. It does not sound good with a RK56 or 636L.
