Sure, most - if not all solder sold today has rosin core in it.
But for larger surfaces and additional solder wetting; what do you use?
Different/same for thru hole and SMD work?
Be specific - brand and type

Just to try I bought some Kester186. I have been using it for a while and love it. I would like to try making my own like Mikes radio repair. But the portions in his recipe on his video are not too clear to me.

I have some Kester 959T that I use for some surface mount stuff I do, which I try to do very little of but it's becoming more and more popular so I'm just accepting it.

Then I use this stuff here
https://store.rossmanngroup.com/soldering-diy/helpful-tools-extras/flux-soldering-tools.html

Cause Louis is my boy and I love me some Louis Rossmann, plus I do iPhone, iPad and Mac repairs but not exactly on the same level as Louis.

Most of the time I just use regular old rosin flux, most of the time the one you make yourself with that rosin chip crap and some acetone. I find it's easier to just buy it though...

When the click the link, it loads the page and then "forward my traffic" immediately redirects me to some nursing school. Lol

I looked at the pastes and the pens. Kinda leaning towards the paste rosin. But what about the kind of activation is preferred? The RA can create erosion of the traces if any is left behind and not cleaned of; but offers better wetting. Anyone have any issue with the RA? Kinda leaning towards the RMA for that reason alone. Doesn't seem to have the same issue. All of the solder I use is RMA. Thoughts?

Well crap. It worked fine when I posted it. Google Rossmann Group and go to the site store. It’s all in there. I’ve used just about everything Louis uses for MacBook repair and it all works great.

Now with that said, there’s a lot of difference between a radio and a MacBook but still. If you can use it to do those types of repairs and iPhone repairs, trust me, it’ll work on these radios. And if you’ve not lost your mind working on a radio and want to try it, try an iPhone or MacBook out. And I’m a Mac guy...

LOL I can get in to the website but when I click on the store, I get the redirect. I am using an old windows surface tablet with RT operating system. Maybe I need an I pad. LOL The website is really cool and the information they share about the Apple repair and SMD work is phenomenal. I know nothing about SMD and this looks like a good way to get my feet wet. Thanks for the link!
