Connex CX 4300 HP hack or factory?

No expert here but I have been under the hood of the 4300hp a few times and that shouldn't be there. The handy work of a golden screwdriver I say
I know it is in RX. But tata is about all I know. Andy and nomad usually can tell what exactly has been done. This weekend I will un do it and see if that is my FT. end overload problem.
I think in one of his posts he said that he had a lot going on and he would be away for a while. I hope he is doing ok.
I played with that radio this morning and found that capacitor in the picture does improve the receive without bringing in the static. But I removed it because I do believe it was overloading the front end. Tomorrow will be the true test when I put the radio in my truck.
Just leaving along until you test it in the truck it may cut the noise big time old tech they now a lot secrets.
No it amplified the noise. But in the house it brought in week signals no overload. In the truck you could do no close talking. Even 1/4 mile away.
