Loosecannon's custom Uniden Madison is for sale!!!

Holy sheet! I never thought you'd part with your Madison. I think 808 was interested in something similar. I hope he's the one who got it. I hope you don't mind me using your space in order to let others who might've been interested in your rig but missed out, know that I have a loose cannon inspired Madison for sale. Along with the rig there's two silver eagle (one FET moded by loosecannon,) and two president bookend speakers. Totally Recapped, and aligned. Variable output knob added in place of the rigs 11/4" headphone jack. Output using the variable Knob is from 0-21/2 DK and 15 pep. Before deciding to part with it I sent it out to an excellent tech. who found that the audio limiter had been removed. He replaced it, adjusted the audio, (using proper equipment) and aligned it. This was performed about 4 months ago. The pictures of the scope were before the limiter, and adjustments were made. Sorry but I don't have pictures to show how mint cosmetically this Madison is (disability makes photographing it very difficult) but if a trusted member is interested I'll take all the appropriate photos to show how minty clean inside and out this transceiver is. The Madison was put together by Mike of Mike's radio repair.

Nope didn't get it. Sure would have been nice. Thought really hard about it but my radio budget has dried up for the next several months.

Sonar, no problem. hope your radio sells also.

The person who got the radio mentioned that they had seen it on the WWRF forum, so they are a member, but i don't know their handle here.

If my madison sold for just over 500 dollars, that means that the guys on ebay selling 2000GTLs for 1200 dollars are getting 700 dollars just for lights LOL.

I hear ya! You got any plans for Saturday or Sunday? Are you not doing anything on one of those days? It's very possible for us to get together either day in order for you to pick up all these goodies. Although most of what I've got for you works (to my recollection) theres a couple of items that'll keep you busy through the cold winter weekend days and nights. Not to mention the items I dontd know I'll be giving you because I don't remember all the items hidden in the closet. 73

Can you divulge who the lucky new owner is? I hope it's someone we know threw the site. I would like to hear that Madison (once I'm back on air.) Someone is definitely happy. The new owner had an early Christmas. That's for sure!! 73

I don't know the person's handle here on the forum, but i believe they are a member because they saw it for sale here as well as the bay.

If they want to announce that they are the one who got the radio that will be up to them.
who knows, they may want to tell their friends that they built it LOL. just kidding.

PM sent.

I love these radios...but I always wondered how suitable they would be if you needed (for medical, scientific, and research purposes only) to be able to tune to the zeros...27.510, 520, etc.

Feasible, or no?
