11 meter is very quiet?

Received my repaired Grant XL today and I'm keeping it locked-in on 38LSB.

Yeah, I bought this one new in 2002. It didn't need any repairs but I just wanted to have it checked-over.
Quiet today here in South Texas, an awl! If'n weren't fer ole' Kav out ther in six mile would be not a sole.
He'd texted me bouts 11 or 12 to see if I were on air. Nope! Them ther high winds yesterday lossened up antenna, was nailing a 6.8 swr......had to do some maintenance and some PM. Now have 1.0 swr. But taint nose buddy yak'n. Was some on that Mexican Soup Bowl, chl. 9.

Listened all afternoon. A few sporadic squeals from someone keying up, and brief far off rec. But jus dead quiet, except that RF hash growing louder.
Kav got his little 70 w kicker up and took that plastic wafer disc out of stock bearcat mic. Taking that out made a difference. After he got linear hooked up it was louder, some, but that amp he's got makes the new 980 sound, well.....pretty bad. Guess I'll have to get him a new one of those too.

9:30 AM lsb woke up. No contacts, but they be yak'n........I'm call'n but no response. This little 980 rec's pretty well.
I’m hearing some traffic out of Texas...nothing very strong yet.
Jacksonville on lsb 40. Trowd da ld450 on tings now iz gett'n outs
Europe tanked...but bagged 22 Div. I’ll take it. Lol.
I can swing the 5 element up north and hear some faint chatter but no conditions from up there moving into the south today
