bnc T ?

Ok, I have a BIRD Sample point that goes to my RIGOL Scope and I want to T it to my Frequency Counter also. It works great to either one as long as its not T'd. When I put the T in I get all kinds of garbage/ distortion on my scope, the counter reads correct? Im using and amphenal 50ohm T. I checked both cables and no issue there.

Well yeah but try this

1x-10x scope probe to a T on the scope. From the T on the scope to a T on the counter. On the open end of the T on the counter terminate with 50 ohms.
