Same guy I got this from has a set of mark lll's as I type but I believe its had some funky fingers in it.
I may be tempted to let this 2k go as is for the right price or possible trade. The longer I keep it the more I like it though lol.

I would just sell it to someone that will pay stupid big bucks for it. Then get a not so nice 2000 to do the channel mods on it. To me it would be like finding a mint condition Chevelle ss, with 0 miles on it and then tearing it all apart to swap in a junkyard ls1 out of a 1999 Camaro. I think it’s more valuable totally untouched.

This is me. I wouldn't jump head over heels into recapping or anything like that. I'd keep it just like it is...wrappers, box and all. And with so many rigs out there that do much more...I wouldn't consider for a second any kind of frequency mods. The soldering iron would stay out of this one.

If you are going to run it I would keep it just like it is.no mods,no recapping etc.I have A 1991 cobra 148 GTL works great. I get lots of complements on am and ssb.
IF you Dare To Sell it ON EBAY you can eliminate a sale to SUPERHAWKWSS6 you will not be happy and you will get a scrap box back when he asks for a full refund.LOL
