Good afternoon, just ordered a Siro 2008 to replace the antron 99 I currently have on a five foot mast located on top of roof of my House, hoping to install it during the summer time when it gets warmer!!! From what I hear and have read,it's a better performer than the 99 overall, will be curious to see how it works once it's up!!

That is a great antenna from what I have read.

I also read somewhere that if it is put up when the weather is nice, it wont work as well as if it were put up when it is cold and windy outside....

I'm running the Sirio 2008 and love it. It took the place of my Sigma Venom 5/8 Wave and I'm hearing and talking to places it had not reached.
Good to hear, was wondering since you have one,is it like the antron 99 in the sense that I can just plug and play,in other words when I put my antron up, I didn't have to do any tuning what so ever,my swr is: 1.2 on ch 1& 1.3 on ch 40, will any tuning need to be done after I get it up?? I don't mind if I have too, Just Curious.... thanks in advance!

I followed the instructions and calculated where I wanted mine tuned (channel 30) and measured out the top stinger. Put it up and the bandwidth is incredible. You can go by the chart included if you wish, but I wanted mine tuned a bit higher. If you have quality coax and good quality PL-259s properly installed you should have no issues.

Okay, well my coax is 30 feet of brand new RG 213, and the PL 259s are the amphenol type( the really good ones I hear) thanks for the help and reply,Much appreciated!
