Well fellas, it seems instead of improving reliability they keep putting more fuel in the fire with this chassis.

Another higher power version of the X9 called the X9hp. This one claims an advertised 175 watts pep vs the 125 from the previous version. My guess is that the amplifier is now loaded with rt1's in the chamber vs the 520 ammo currently used. That's only my guess though!Screenshot_20220528-101057_Chrome.jpg

I don't think they're going to do anything new untill they burn through the stockpile of 6900××× boards they have stashed.
They really have not done anything since the 2950dx, just add amps, switch to mosfets, change faceplates with different color displays, then add fans all while the main basic board remained about the same.
And RT-1's in the ( as Nomad calls them) flamethrower models are living up to the name.

It is sitting flat on the bench. Where is the amp? Is this fan cooled?
It's like the regular x9 where itself mounted inside really tight and the dual fans.

With the space constraints in it, the only thing that could have been changed is different mosfets or a 2 pill board. There's no room for an 8 fet board such as the 98vhp or others so the reason for speculation of rt1.

It's actually a new board but very similar in design to the 96 series boards. Same size as the 979 but all surface mount.
