Electret handheld mics

My ears like the way they sound especially when the radio has the capability of switching from dynamic to elc to discern the difference. So of course I have to try a modification where I'm using Presidents and Anytones.
2 part question: Is there an upgrade electret mic element to stuff in that tiny hole, and is the juice worth the squeeze?

well, time to update my stock mikes elements is the higher the impedance the better response and clearer sound. I have 4 of them 1 reads 500 ohms 3 reads 450 ohms 1 reads 150 ohms i'm looking at to new elements 1= Sensitivity: -70+/- 3dB (at 1KHz) Impedance: 500 ohm Frequency Response: 300~6KHz...

The stock mics (electret) do sound better. Even when I switched to Dynamic on my McKinley, the Dynamic mic still sounded bad, but I hate the way the new mics feel when holding them. I'm thinking of buying a kit off eBay to pull the Dynamic out and put an electret in, for the way it feels, and aesthetics.

I'm looking for just the element, if there is an improved one.
My thinking is there is always something better then stock?
