Maybe this will come in handy to other owners of this radio and future owners as well
Hey man could you send pictures of how you shipped them? I’m a bit confused on where they need to be removed. I have the tool to desolder just don’t want to remove the wrong thing. I really want to get this radio in my truck asap. Thanks! You can email me as well if you want my emailRemove 297 and 299 worked on the one I just bought. I snipped them.
Thanks Eldorado828 for the excellent pictures!
Wow that was fast thank you! Going to get on that this week. Is there anything else I need to do after that like programming or changing the band knob? Or just hook it up in my truck and get rolling. Thank you so much your a life saver.Use a pair of small cutters to cut them out, or you can de-solder. Picture below is from post #2.
Eldorado828, I have a question regarding the Stryker SR-447HPC@ 10 Meter Radio. After it is converted to the 11 meter band, either per your suggestion back in 2024, whether removing the capacitors, or otherwise, my question is will the radio still work on the 10 meter band and the 11 meter band with out undoing the modification? Thanks, ErnieMaybe this will come in handy to other owners of this radio and future owners as well
Ernie, once the resistors are removed the D band on the band knob becomes 11 meters. I don't recall what that band was before the conversion but it may be just band d that is lost or replaced with the cb band. The other banks are still there but I couldn't tell what they were because it was a big rig radio that stayed on 27.185.Eldorado828, I have a question regarding the Stryker SR-447HPC@ 10 Meter Radio.
