Anytone 6666pro am swing

In AM mode, turn PWR knob (outer) CCW to reduce carrier.
In the Background Function menu, enable AM.NPC

I set my am modulation low and the am modulation on high to all 0000 this gives you full modulation. Same goes for sideband modulation. It helps with the swing a little . Everyone I have made contact with both local and dx has given good reports on modulation Leave the am npc ON Play with it and set it to what your preference is. I am waiting for someone anyone to give information on a swing diode modification so I can set the dead key to 2 watts and swing to full power like it does on other radios.

By the way ANYTONE DOWNLOADS web site has a software for this radio that allows you to perform different settings . Just make sure you read your settings on the radio first and save it . That way if you mess up you can always place it back to factory. look for the AT 6666 PRO SET TEST DATA DOWNLOAD V103 This is the tool you need to change the settings

If you have already changed the bands to include the 15 meter band use the AT 6666 PRO CPS 2.02 DOWNLOAD It includes the 15 meter band programing . The 2.05 does not. ANYTONE DOWNLOAD SITE has this also

i tried this, but putting it on an oscilloscope showed a lot of pinch

My 6666Pro did the same thing from factory. But, 20 watt dead key will eventually blow the finals. Get hotter. That is way too much dead key. I set mine to 7 watt dead key. I am still looking for information on a swing diode modification for the 6666Pro

I believe the am could be improved as stated in previous post. But I have had good reports locally and on dx contacts. I haven’t had any complaints. Yet. The ssb is fantastic. I am 100 percent satisfied with the performance on ssb. On the am if it would do as I have asked many times it could use the swing diode modification. That way you can have a low dead key and the ability for it to swing to full power. The radio would run a lot cooler. Finals last longer. On the other bands it performs well also. I also added fans on the back of the fins to help it run cooler. I use the stock microphone because it does best with the stock mic. In my opinion. If anyone were to use 15 meter band ( I do ). If your swr is the same as it is on the other bands you will see the performance is close to same as the other bands are . My swr on all bands with an automatic tuner is 1.1 to 1.2. That is on my dipole.
