Am on this radio has a very tight modulation range. Is there a mod setting or adjustment to lower the carrier and increase the modulation?

In AM mode, turn PWR knob (outer) CCW to reduce carrier.
In the Background Function menu, enable AM.NPC

npc doesn't do much. i feel like this is a service menu adjustment to be made
