MFJ to stop Building

To this day I would be totally lost without my MFJ-1026 noise eliminating phase cancellation box.
I had one of those. I was getting some nasty RFI, which I eventually tracked down about a 1/4 mile away. Turned out to be a doorbell transformer. The homeowner yanked it out for me. That noise drove me insane, but the cancellator got rid of it. Took some fidgeting, but they do work.

I'm gonna miss the monoband SSB Transceivers. Those are still cool. I think just about every ham has fingerered the knobs on one of their antenna tuners.

Unless a buyer spins it off from MFJ, it goes down the same drain. Martin rescued a handful of famous product names as they reached senility. The drawback is that they all die with MFJ.

Martin was asked to sell Ameritron. He refused to break it off from MFJ...Sell all or nothing they were told...Sad...

Try talking to Ameritron support and see how that goes. I have had more intelligent conversations with toddlers.
I had many conversations with Rob Hood at Ameritron & he was very helpful. He would go through things to check so I didn't need to ship the amplifier back to them. He saved me lots of shipping costs. Great guy to chat with as well. If I found the issue, he would send me the parts as well so it was repairable. He would have made more money for them if I returned it but he did the right thing. Mike Enos was also very helpful before he suddenly passed away.

Hopefully, some knowledgeable techs step up to provide parts and service for amps. Lot's of nervous hams out there with recent purchases and no warranty support.

W8JI, Tom has stopped working on them because of the overwhelming amount of time and effort he has to put into them to find and correct mistakes.
