New Superstar SS88HL (Galaxy DX88HL)

I am intrigued, and I have an old camcorder somewhere. Once upon a time, if I found an old camcorder for nothing, I would rob it of the the mini crt eyepiece. If I remember correctly, they mostly took a composite video input and 5 volts DC to operate. I used those for many projects, including a portable, battery powered spot monitor for CCTV cameras and for configuring head-less devices.
I have a post here from years ago building off this idea, the guy used a home brew heater that was soldered to a strip of metal, and formed to fit over the crystal much similar to this

Here is the more modern version

I remember when the old school techs used a grain of wheat bulb to warm the crystal...1980s tech. :)

I work for a pcb solder outfeed company, and we modified and set up the DDC side for the "new" boards and hardware for the "new" components and controls. The are not NOS. lol

Even trucks cb himself (Brian) said they're nos and he's the one that had them brought in! Watch the videos. He even shows the board to show the components. They're not even utilizing the tda-2003 audio ic because they were already assembled with the 7222 back a couple of decades ago.
