11 meter is very quiet?

Lots of action on 26.805FM today! It was hopping last winter and spring but really died out over the summer with the weaker conditions. However, I made lots of contacts on there this afternoon!
I'm super happy there's still folks down there, I've had a lot of fun on that channel the last couple of years. I've even made it to Ireland and Australia from here on FM, so don't let anyone try and tell you that FM doesn't work for DX! It does, it just takes a little more effort and a little more luck.

I was trying to find that the other day. I am going to write that down, 26.805. Thanks!

I'm glad you fellas are making some good contacts. My last entry was on the 20th of September, and I haven't been on since. Work is super busy and we're short handed. I get home and my ass is whooped! It's going to be the end of the month before work starts to slow down. Enjoy the DX my friends! 73

I hear you. I'm lucky to work from home 3 days a week, so making a few contacts while sitting in front of the computer with the radio on the side is pretty easy. But on the other two, at the end of the day I ain't in much shape to be grabbing the microphone either.

Band has been dead as Dillinger for me today. Still having fun speaking local to the other 'ole coots, though.

37 lower was busy with the same group of regulars yesterday, so I was tuning around and came across several stations using 27.400 lower. I figured it was a local group somewhere, but then I thought I heard 23 BC Coyote. Was that you, Sean?? I didn't QSK, because I was shutting down for the daily thunderstorm. I wish I had asked for a break because it's been bugging me all day wondering if it really was you. I'll take a look again today.

I've spent the last two weeks helping our workers enclose our garage. We added a 24 square meter attached room which will be my new radio shack/shop. I made arrangements to have my tower moved next to the new shack. The 220 foot coax run from the tower's present location will be too lossy. It's always something with CB, huh.

Thanks for the reply , Sean. The guy that I heard on .400lower sounded just like you. And. . . his name was Sean.
There's a few of us around LOL! There's a Sean in Scotland that I've talked to a few times over the years, and I've heard and talked to others as well. Not such an unusual name......
There are a couple other 23's out there on 11 meters too. There's an especially bodacious sounding 23 in Florida that I make a point of always talking to when I hear him...he has the same number as me after all, but his name isn't Sean !!
