Yet if I want something and never make any attempt to get it I'll just be wishing. This might come as a suprise to you but there is no one sitting on a stock pile of NOS, Open Box, or gently used units that we all go to when we want one.
Almost all of the ones I have seen in the last 20 years have been on Ebay or Craigs List or the like.
If you run across some one with a 20-30 of them in a collection your not likely to seperate them from them as hard core collectors fixated on one brand or one model are not usually in the market to sell their precious gems! When they die you will either see their stuff at an estate auction or on ebay or once purchased from an estate auction then on Ebay! If it has any value especially if it is listed on worth point you will see it on Ebay!
Be prepared to get into a bidding war!
Yeah, somebody needs to put the 5221's binary sequence from that chip into a PIC or Arduino or such, then mount it on a 24-pin header to sub for the original.chances are better on this site than pretty much anywhere else.
A few days ago, I was contacted by a scammer in my PM's here, in response to a WTB post.So the emails the fraudsters used were:
marcuschristopher283@gmail.com for the main contact using the (obvious) name Marcus Christopher.
bigredtrucker@gmail.com for payment using the name Michael Ray.
Leaving this here until the mods pull it down or the radio shows up. But I don't think the radio will be showing up.
This was from a new user, who said a third party had what I was looking for. I was told to email scottblacke88@gmail.com. A google search turned up some posts from a different forum, where they responded to WTB posts with that gmail address.A few days ago, I was contacted by a scammer in my PM's here, in response to a WTB post.
If you haven't already and the scammer hasn't deleted the account, get the username to one of the mods. I failed to preserve that piece of evidence before the initial contact DM's were deleted.A few days ago, I was contacted by a scammer in my PM's here, in response to a WTB post.
It already was deleted, but I was able to search again with what I remembered and found one of the hits. Same verbiage almost verbatim as the DM I was sent.If you haven't already and the scammer hasn't deleted the account, get the username to one of the mods. I am having problems posting, deleting and editing. Sorry for the repeats.
