I was calling on 16 for about a hour, it's really a mess.
AM traffic is hot and heavy around 16.
We have been getting hammered with rain and they are forcasting a possible 6-7 inches of additional rain in the next couple days.

Just don't walk outdoors with your head tilted backwards. . .

I was driving all over central and south Florida with my Cherokee AH-100 walkie talkie hooked up at my Striker 10K magnetic mount. The bleedover onto LSB 16 from AM 15 and AM 17 was pretty brutal at times. However, I did hear a Maine mobile station not too long after 1:00P.M. eastern. A few minutes later I heard a guy from Kansas City booming in. Other stations occasionally could be heard. My little barefoot rig had zero success in getting back to anyone.

Conditions are very strange today... Stations are either strong one moment, or everyone is non existent on 37 LSB. Will keep an ear out on 40 USB.
You're not kidding. Very little heard here on either 37 or 38. Even 6 & 28 are at a low level today. South America however is just booming in! I have several Brazilian stations having a QSO on 40 USB and splatter from a Spanish speaking station on the lower side. Went up to 555 USB and it's full of South America too......tons of Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina etc. Even a couple stations from Venezuela on there calling CQ. Too bad 399 is off the air, he'd be an easy contact for me today!

So it seems the skip has "gone long" today and it's just bouncing right over you guys LOL!
