Sounds like he doesn't care for the CB/11 meter crowd, but he can't afford to say no to business coming his way...........amp building nowadays is such an incredibly niche occupation and there's a limited demand for these things even within the CB hobby. And before someone tries to tell me CB is on the rebound....no, no it's not.
I love CB but absolutely hate the modern human trash that is often on CB today.
I do not care if your rich, poor, in the middle, have 12 degree from MIT or had to drop out of high school to help support your family. I do not care what color your skin is! I do not care if you live in a tent or your truck or you house has wheels! You either behave like a man that was raised properly by your family or you behave like trash.
The CB is not the place for profanity, vulgar talk, on air drunken rants, vengful interference like "dropping the maul" , abusing power or harassing people trying to talk to other's. Good people are good people. You should be able to have people in your car from a preacher to your own kids and not be ashamed to have the CB radio on because of how trashy it has become!
In many cases I would be ashamed to be associated with the "average cb'er" I hear on the radio not because of their station in life but because of their behavior! In spite of that I have a 108" whip on my car.
Society has gone rotten becasue good men and women bite their tongue in the prscense of evil! They look away when the strange kid tosses trash on the ground in the parking lot of Walmart! I have raised 3 sons and watched it happen over and over again at school functions, public functions, daily life. I am the loud mouth that tells people to stop tossing their trash on the ground. I am that guy at Walmart telling the scary guy to stop beating his girlfriend in the parking lot on Sunday with all kinds of people looking the other way dressed to the nines after church!
I refuse to let trash hijack my hobby that I love and destroy it like everything else that was once good!
I do not stand by when ham's want to belittle CB either there is plenty of mean spirited hate filled trash amoungst them as well. The difference is they actualy attempt to police their own. Plenty of small minded fools in there ranks as well.
I got my start in CB and CB will always hold a place in my heart. CB will never equal the acceptance of bottom feeding lowest denominator behavior. I still remeber how it was even in big cities as late as the 1990's and the sense of community it once had!
