I feel your pain because I spent a life time in maintenance moving & dealing with that crap. I spent most of the day filling my outside cellar way with coal because I can't have a inside coal bin. Next project is making new skid shoes for the snow blower because you can't buy replacements for my machine anymore and I can make better ones anyway. Winter S--ks ! LOL

Not quite a heatwave here, but it is a beautiful sunny day on the BC coast.
17 C right now, which is 62 F or thereabouts. I did hear that snow fell on some of the mountain passes in the interior last night.

We have a possibility of snow in the high sierra of yosemite next week.
The west coast is getting hammered by the latest tropical storm and my brother on the big island has been dealing with one of the wettest years he can remember.
That El nino is pumping a lot of moisture and heat in this year.

That sounds frustrating, especially when the snow starts interfering with everyday plans. The difference between the weather on the BC coast and the conditions in the interior can be quite something. Snowfall also brings the usual questions for families about school closures and bus services the following morning. During heavier snowfalls, Snow Day Predictor Canada can be a useful resource to click here and check local school closure and bus cancellation predictions using a city or postal code. Of course, the final decision still rests with the local school board or bus operator. Hopefully, the snow clears up soon and everyone gets a break from winter maintenance!

Fraser Valley, BC here floods more than snows in winter.
I don't have to worry about floods here on my little island off the BC coast, and it rarely snows or freezes, but we do get hurricane force winds several times every winter which means trashed antennas are a thing. I've gone through a lot of A-99's over the years! The wire loops are easy to fix when they come down......it's one big advantage of homemade antennas!
We also get a ton of power outages, and many of them are LONG....like days or occasionally even a week or more. Everybody out here has at least one generator and often more than one.
We had a big windstorm last night but everything stayed up in the air........phew!
