Welcome to the free-band. It's a lot nicer above 40.

10 and 11 meter noise floor insane!

What kind of grounding and bonding do you have for your setup? Sounds like your antenna and or coax is picking up the static. Do you use coax with a foil shield? Is your shielding grounded?

    Best type of coax?

LMR-400 or "equivalent" for feed line and LMR-240 or "equivalent" for all jumpers if it's a base setup. LMR-240 for mobile setup. This is what I have done for my two base stations and my mobile set up. I specifically went this route for the additional shielding that 400 and 240 has...

    Mobile Base Station setup help.

Looks like one of those Megawatt clones. You can try adding an EMI/RFI filter between the power supply and the radio.

    Coax between radio and amplifier

I have a 20+ foot run to the amp outside of my radio room and 20+ foot back to my radio room. I also have a garage radio that has a 40 foot run to my amp which is in the basement. I have absolutely ZERO issues what so ever. Now I'm sure someone is going comment with all sorts of math and...

    LMR-400 for Ham Radio/cb radio

That was my point! Also I was quoting someone who said "lmr-400 is copper clad aluminum". Which yes you can find lmr-400 type coax in cca but he was saying that all lmr-400 is cca.

    president antennas

I have the President Maryland and I like it. Fender mounted with a 10" shaft and 12' of coax. Tuned out to a perfect match. Even though it has the tuning rings I did have to clip a little off to offset the shaft. So I'd say it's working damn fine for me.

I'm not sure about that but I can find out for sure. My good friend's aunt and uncle own it.

    anytone AT-6666 27mhz

To get them to 11 meter is just simply pushing some buttons. It's all in the programming. I can't remember the sequence or the buttons but I believe you can find it on Google.

    LMR-400 for Ham Radio/cb radio

Wow. I gotta say that there is a whole lot of misinformation in some of these comments. ''LMR400 is copper clad aluminum" "213 has braided shielding which is all you need for cb and hf" To be absolutely 100% clear. The difference between ANY 213 and ANY 400 is that 400 has the 100% foil...
