I just picked up a Cobra 29 ltd chrome that's not working. Radio is as dead as a door nail. Doesn't power on or anything. Looked for cold solder joints and anything burnt up but it all looks good. Any ideas of what else to check?

Ive got a Northstar NS-9000 I'm working on now. Radio is pretty much dead. Other than a little bit of noise from the speaker is does nothing. None of the lights light up or anything on it. Would a bad voltage regulator cause that or am I looking in the wrong spot?

Not getting 10.24 on the pll chip. tried replacing the crystal twice after having gone over the board with the soldering iron.

Alright I will go over that part of the board and see what I come up with.

Does it after the radios has been on. Ive had radios do this where the pll side of the board had a bad connection but this one the transmit led is not turning red during transmit when the problem occurs. I seem to recall that being related to something else but I cant remember what now.

I have a General Lee here Im tinkering with. The radio is loosing receive and transmit. When you key the mic the RX/TX led will not change color. Its not a mic problem as Ive tried several different mics and it still does the same thing. Any help would be appreciated!

Its not stable. It shows less than 10.240mhz and every once in awhile it will lock right on 10.240.
