i have 2 great radio,s in my shack a ft1000mp and a icom 775DSP but i just could,nt resist buying a 148 for old times sake.I had a lot of fun in the 80,s with a few 148,s and they have always been my favourite ssb radio,the one i bought is in perfect condition unbutchered but is being converted...

thats the way im doing it mount the earth bar on the wall out of sight behind my shack bench then run a single 10mm earth wire to a earth rod outside.

been sorting a way of earthing equipment in the shack made a earth bar from a bit of inch copper pipe,earth bonding clamps and a couple of pipe holder brackets.I saw this method used in a shack sometime ago but jubliee clips were used looked a bit untidy.

looking to buy a hygain AR40 controller must be european voltage has anyone got one lying about in there shack thanks in advance john

meant to be easy to make from a 6m carbon carp rod,a unun and a wire.You could even use the carp rod and set up an inverted V dipole or inverted L if you are near a tree to fix to
