The sound tracker feature can be removed and the radio aligned on rx. Mods can be done for TX just as a 29. However this radio is not built for flip in my opinion.

I agree on it needs a proper alignment. The problem with that is nine out of ten tech's / solder jocks don't have what it takes nor the proper equipment to even begin. They just do the ear tune. Then get some Sasquatch to yell at them from a distance and compare to what the needle is showing...

Good quality Beam with great rejection will work wonders. Mine does. It wasn't brought up, but have you tried the channel gaurd? It will work in some radios. Not worth a hill of beans in exports though.

My first post. I would leave it alone. Just as the two have told you. The fidelity you are looking for will not be gained on ssb. Like DTB said The 99 and 88 have a very narrow filter. Second, that must be a Rare 66v, cause I have not seen one with ssb.
