Heathkit HN31 , that's the one Nomad , the screws were pretty tight , the whole assembly looked as good as the day I bought it , much thanks for the idea all the same .

Just wondering why this load would read 58 ohms ? The mineral oil is clean as can be , took the top off and it still reads 58 ohms ? I know there was never much more then 500 watts pep put through it. I just don't know that much about DL's other then there supposed to read 50 ohms . Thanks

Been giving the little Kinetik battery some thought ? Is there more to it then just hooking up bigger wire from the car battery to the Kinetik close to the amplifier ? (I have plenty of room for that within a foot or so) Question is on the Kinetik , does there have to be something else going on...

In your case, even a smaller kinetik battery between you car battery and amplifier can make a difference in current/voltage drops. That alone can help stabilize things quite a bit. The smaller Kinetik battery sounds interesting ? I'm curious on what you might suggest on those ? Sounds kind of...
