Exam

Congrats. 10m is hot right now if you got a rig for it. But the main thing is to have fun.

eggman1989..I have a rig 10-160 problem is i need a general license to do 10 meter..so now that I've passed the tech (exam) i"ll start practicing for my general, would really like to use it, I'll get going on 2 meter and learn the ropes sort of speak perhaps someone on this forum could recommend a good duel band
radio (handheld) for a newbie.. Again thanks for the reply's on getting my ticket...

Your technician license does give you voice privileges in 10 meter from 28.3 to 28.5. Technicians can also do CW between 28.0 and 28.3 in 10 meters, 21.025 and 21.2 in 15 meters, 7.025 and 7.125 in 40 meters and 3.525 and 3.6 in 80 meters.

Congratulations!

mr fx beat me to the message....

As a Technician, you DO have phone privileges on 10 meters right now. You are restricted to 28.300-28.500 mHz, USB, CW and data only. Remember to stay a little above and below the edges to avoid transmitting out of band, 3 kHz is a general rule. Your output power is restricted to 200 watts pep until you get your general, then you can go 1500 watts pep.

Go ahead and get on 10 now.
