Sirio 5000 performer......

I am interested in one of these for my pickup. Need a 22" shaft though just to clear the roofline. Is it easy to add a different riser?

Brett
Buy the trucker series which is the same resonator coil but comes with a 17 inch shaft which should be good enough. Either way, the resonator coil accepts a typical CB mount 3/8 x 24 threaded shaft so you can easily use a longer shaft than 17 inches.

I bought mine on Amazon and added a 36 inch shaft.

I have bought a couple of these last year, I really like them and would like to purchase 2 more, problem is finding a good source for them?

FWIW, I recently purchased one on Amazon; they call it the Sirio Fighter; same thing as far as I can tell just a different color, Camo; doesn't come with the magnetic base but I put it on one from my old Wilson 1000 and it works fine. It is now selling for a few bucks more than I paid, but $73.59 includes shipping.

Amazon product ASIN B0195NXSO2
I see there is a regular one on Amazon as well which includes the mag base but more expensive & doesn't include shipping.

Have a Magical Day.

At the moment im using also the fighter 5000.

Although i cant provide scientific proof as ny old wilson 1000 past away...
im having the feeling this one is a step up.
With 200 Watts pep my range is always about 150km from static mobile to static mobile with a similar setup. In fm..guess about 60-100km..depending on setup other station.

I can work the other side of the world..did some nice DXing..includung thailand LP.
Obvious thats propagation...
But still..you will need a good antenna to enjoy the propagation.

I like the easy collapse screw..

Down side :
You will need strong magnetic base...or other solution...

Im having the antenna now for2 months on the roof.

The bottom screws have turned into rusting machines...
i mean...terribble !..
Ill upload a picture later..

Otherwise...
im confident it should be amongst "best" 6 feet mobile whips.
