11 meter is very quiet?

Decent DX day up here today, and it's only half over! I talked to 030 in Limerick Ireland on 26.805FM again; I made contact with him last year as well. West coast of Canada to Ireland on 200 watts into a homemade delta loop. Who says you can't DX in FM mode?!?!

Made several other contacts on FM all in the west and midwest U.S. and then went up and tried my luck on 36 where I made a couple Ontario contacts and a bunch in upper New England area.

Prime conditions out there right now, it's literally coming in from all over.......

Busy with work, so only time to work local SSB contacts once skip calms down later in the evening. I am blessed with regional activity, and I have the distinct impression that there is a new generation of 11 meter enthusiasts on the airwaves around here in Quebec. Us older folks have our channel, and young-bloods have their own. There is cordial crossover from both sides, from time to time.

Money & time don't seem to be an obstacle to 333. He drinks all day and night and still has funds left over to fix his amp when he blows it up. He runs a giant beam antenna too.......supposedly his ERP off the end of the beam is close to 3000 watts. At least that's what I hear from other folks down there........so you might want to take that with a shaker or two of salt LOL!
Anyways, it's a great setup; too bad he just uses it to piss people off.
