11 meter is very quiet?

I managed a few good qsos today. One of them, and the longest, was @c316buckeye. I was working 555 usb and he jumped in there and blew my speakers out. Great station you have there 316. Thanks for the qso, my friend!
After a short break I had a qso with Fabio, 3AT-193 in Brazil. And my first qso was this morning around 9:00 with 26AT-116 in central England. Then a few more sprinkled in throughout the day.
A good day so far. Hopefully I'll have time this evening before sundown.

I heard you 226! I was taking a break from work and radio just happened to be on 580 USB when you and 316 came on..... You were about an S 5 or 6. Couldn't hear 316 at all....not a peep...but that's just conditions. Phone rang and I had to go back to work for a bit so didn't get a chance to break in and say hi! Hopefully we can connect again soon!

That's great! I'll be listening for you.

Up in the higher frequencies on USB I had some great contacts and qsos.
1AT-879, Franko in Italy on 680
1AT-936, Jerome in Italy on 650
70, George in Kentucky on 600. We were on for just over 30 minutes.
And my first contact to 70 division. 70DA/OC077 Darren in American Samoa on 610. He was killing it today, making contacts all over! North America, South America and all points in between.

Anyway, these are a few of the contacts I made today.
I hope the dx was good for all today.

I didn't get time to set at the radio today but had the 2547 hooked to the West Mountain Radio Processor and it was killing it all day clear as a bell. It had my mind going wild with thought of Extra Channels & VFO Mods for that radio. I never thought that radio would sound that good. And at 6:48 PM I still hear it sounding off. I hope you all had fun today !

The DX is booming today in the panhandle of Texas! We finally got some cold and an excuse to stay in to have some radio time. I'll be listening for you fellas through the day.
Same here! I've even had some short skip too. 10-AD711 in Chihuahua, Mexico which is 390 miles via Google Earth.

Edit: Mexico was the closest contact and my furthest contact so far today is the island of Martinique.

Conditions today made for a good day. I worked the east coast, the island of Aruba, Puerto Rico and as the day went on I worked the west coast and finished up with Honolulu.

It was all done with the fresh built Texas Ranger tre-797 high power that I've been talking about on another thread. It's a win win kinda day for once!

Nice set up ! The solar site said conditions were poor for yesterday and my PITA neighbor was home so I kept busy doing unfinished projects but late in the day and early evening I turned the radios on and conditions didn't sound poor. I tried several radios I haven't used in awhile to compare receive and did mic wire repair on one of my Galaxy 979s and they were sounding good. Makes you wonder why you moved on to other radios. LOL OH Well I had a lot of fun along the way chasing my dream ! Happy DXing
