I hope all are well. I joined a couple of years ago in search of help with a Tram radio. Always had fun with the CB stuff just life got in the way. No way to know by the photo, other than it is someone's modification. If you take a photo of inside, that may shed some light on what it is doing.
It's a frequency expansion. The switch selects bands above and/or below the legal 40 channels. I'm not familiar with that exact one, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
