So far I'm just putting a power connector in this radio and then testing it. This is just something I noticed. If this microphone ever goes bad the owner is screwed! You can't change the channel, the volume, or the squelch on this thing without the microphone. But they put a knob on the front for a dimmer. LOL

Only if it doesn't function. Still haven't tested this thing out. I just got the power connector soldered in. I can't solder a 12 pin plug anyway. I don't think the owner wants to go that far either.
I would convert it to a 4 pin, then put some push buttons on front for the up/down fuction. 
But that is too much trouble..

I go all out on any 02A Cybernet, but that’s just me. The two push buttons would be mounted below the MOD indicator. The RF gain would be the volume, and the DIM knob would become the squelch. The 4 pin jack would be wired for any Cobra mic.....While I’m at it, incandescent bulbs would be changed over to LED’s.
Schematic is in the CB Tricks collection. The mike only uses ten of the twelve pins. At least what's inside the factory mike is all pretty mundane.

Well. So far the microphone is a little bit of a problem. Channel up and down buttons only work intermittently with a lot of pressing involved. Also so far, no sound from speaker or external speaker that I plugged in. A little bit of scratch in there though so I'm hopeful on that. Took the mic apart and I'm going to clean all the switches as good as I can with contact cleaner. We'll see where it leads from there. I'm not going to dig too deep into this thing without that microphone working properly.
