Thank you. I'm interested in what they say. Brandon is working on a synthesizer to replace hard-to-find xtals, I'm patiently waiting for a prototype to play with as I have a few rigs to try them on.
I did see that and there is a guy over seas doing that programing crystal oscillators.
They are a bit noisy. The guy showed one in a cobra 29ltd/gtl am radio and seemed to work. The osc. are out there and need I think an aduino board to program for frequency needed.
It will need an analog input for the clarifier, but as I understand it, he's tackling that feature.
The "Progrock" board I'm using comes from Turkiye. Yeah, that's how Erdogan wants it spelled nowadays. Has no feature to make it slide, but so far it does what we need it to do. Doesn't need a clarifier function for this radio:

Uses the Si5351 as the signal source. So far we haven't observed noise issues from it.
The price of a one-off custom crystal makes a board that emulates three of them look cheap in comparison.

AliExpress also has a board like that with the SI5351, bought a small handful of them begin this year.

Minimum to order was 600 xtals so 1200 xtals for the 2 frequencies at 1 time about 5 years ago I had ordered 12,000 crystals.

12kHz is a stretch. It may work, but the capacitance required will be very small. You will probably need a 1-10pF trimmer and it may become a theramin if the capacitance required is in the lower half of that.
What about opening the can and replacing the bad leg?
I have soldered the leg back on without opening the can, it will have to do for now.
