Did you use steel wool or stainless steel wool? I used to work in food processing and have seen regular steel wool leave contamination behind that later showed crosion on both aluminum and stainless. It's even worse on stainless, if you did use regular steel wool I would suggest you go over it...

My brother has one fairly new, 15 meters, then jumps to 12 meters and up I think they just included 15 but not full coverage. I don't know what software version his is and I don't know if they are updating as they go along? 73 Jeff

They really did a good job of locking the door on out of band operations , never seen this model outside of 10 meters even though there were export clones that looked identical. Even the HTX-100 was not worth the effort as they only had USB and CW, but they did make a great 10 meter rig if left...
