Sometimes those contacts are the best ones, nice to just have a conversation with out fighting s-9+ DX, cool stuff.Interesting conditions this evening. About 9:40 cst I called cq and had a pretty good lengthy qso with 2 stations in southern Wisconsin. Nobody else but those two who were local to each other. Interesting stuff but any dx is a good time.
last night i talked to 245 in smoky mtns along with a couple of his neighbors. we managed a breif but quality signal till somebody jumped in speaking a spanish direlectInteresting conditions this evening. It's definitely famine lately but not much longer and hopefully we'll get to feast on the plentiful dx.Occasionally I've heard Jamaica and Australia, but very weak and only lasted a few seconds. I've made a couple contacts into the Carolina's in the last 2 weeks. Otherwise it's just low level white noise. On the plus side, I've got 10 locals in a 60 mile radius. Even with the terrain, 100 watts is all it takes, and nightly conversations have been great. No struggle with tons of noise and 500 people calling cqdx.
Well you haven't been missing much JJ! It's been slim pickings until today....just a little California, Mexico and Hawaii on occasion.Lucky you Sean. My station's down
Yes good old PA road salt takes it's toll on our vehicles and mines a 2009 with a 160000 miles on it but still runs like a champ and gives me 30 MPG on a trip.Rocker panel work. . .rust or ???
