It's not far away now. The main delay has been with getting the programming software to work correctly with the new memory logic in the firmware (not a simple thing).
It's a great update, I'm sure most people will like what it adds.

It is not QX made, but regardless it looks interesting! I hope the quality will be there when it is released, and the price sensible. It is tiny... significantly smaller than any other 10m SSB radio on the market. (There is a Youtube video of someone holding it in one hand, and his hand was...
I already have a few of these awesome radios, so I won't enter the contest. Someone else should win it! Thanks to Radioddity and WWDX for making this happen.
Good luck everyone!

I just had a closer look at your photos - the board is very clearly marked! You should be good to go, just take your time and use the right tools - don't break any of the slugs!

OK, I would reference the document attached as a guide only.
Regarding the clarifier not functioning on AM/FM mode - you need to align the radio in SSB mode. Inject a 1KHz tone into microphone and if you are in LSB mode, you will see a TX frequency -1KHz lower than the VFO frequency. If you are...
It's been a while since I worked one of these, but from memory it might not be that simple... If it's like the earlier Albrecht/Dragon (SY) designs, it would have a can for each of the 1KHz steps, between 1-5KHz, which are used to achieve each division in the VFO step range... Meaning that the...
Do you have another radio turned on in the shack, monitoring? We have had similar questions before, and in these cases it has ended up being only the TX and RX processing delays, causing the "echo" sound when monitoring your own audio with different RX sources.
These radios run the audio via DSP...
QRP portable operation (5 watts or less) is life here! For whatever reason, small low power portable radios have always been addictive for me. Nothing beats making contacts with battery power, a piece of wire or a telescopic whip :)
These are some of the HF QRP rigs that I use semi-regularly (I...
It's such a basic VFO that there might not be much that is worth stealing! hihi. My modified .ino is attached.
The code is for this style of DDS VFO: https://www.ebay.com/itm/296637034430?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5336136228&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1
It was a fun project on a rainy day! The DDS is actually Arduino based and the original (very basic) sketch can be found online. I had to make changes to the code to make it work the way I wanted, (and I added new step options and changed the button functions around). You can then re-flash it...
A "Q5NPro" is something that has been kicked around for the future, with things like 15m band, fans, higher power, updated LCD, backlit buttons, etc... But it is not on the near roadmap at this point. That's not to say it won't ever happen, but it is down the list because the Nii "short case"...
This is what I did to one of mine. Works great on 10m SSB now.
I have some others that I haven't touched, they are very poor on SSB. I will have a look at R130 and the other post with all that info, and see how that goes. Cheers!
That's why the software tool was created. It's a barrier to entry that will stop most basic users from even attempting adjustments, (the same ones who made the keypad service menu mistakes in the past) but for those PRO users that need it, the PC tool is the keys to the castle.
IMO it's awesome...
