    ULTIMATE MOBILE

Well, decided to go with the MP-1 antenna and looking for a 1/2 wave 2 meter antenna. I have run grounds from the radio and antenna mount to separate screws on the bike. I was told to run a ground strap from the ground screw on the back of the radio to the antenna mount and from the antenna...

How to change address for my callsign

Agood fairly inexpensive screwdriver antenna is the ATAS 120A. It's cheap compared to say HiQ or High Sierra. The diamond 400c is a great mount for it and it will mount nicely to your rear hatch, fully adjustable and if you drill a hole and set the screw it is most times enough groung to work...

    ULTIMATE MOBILE

Now that's funny right there. The mount is just something I found at the bike shop. It was part of a metal basket to mount on the front handle bars. It has a quick release. Lucky find. $20.00 for the basket and mount

    ULTIMATE MOBILE

Here are some pics of my new summertime mobile. Yeasu 817nd mounted to the bars with a 18Ah battery in the rear pack with a Whatsup meter to monitor battery consumption. I should get most of the day from it. I have mounted a HEIL Traveler one sided headset with the ear piece on the right so I...

Can i get some Government help please

The thing that gets me is.... I go into a store to buy something and try to use cash as much as possible but, most of the time they will ask if paying by debit or credit. Once upon a time, cash was good but more and more they are phazing out the money and wanting you to use a credit card. This...

I had the UT-106 in my 706. It was a nice option but, I felt it was just a toy. Unless you have a sight disability, why use it?

I also have a 897D that I love. I have a MP-1 and Buddistick for HF and a Arrow 146/440 beam for UHF/VHF. I cannot say enough about the portability of this radio. I am getting deployed to Iraq very soon and applied and received my Iraqi Amateur Radio License and taking my 897 with me. I would...

    857d, 897d, 817nd, 706mk2g or ft100d

I was listening to a guy yesterday using a 7000 with a Heil PR20 and three band EQ. I must say his audio was much better with the 7000 than his 756 PROIII. I was quite amazed at the audio from such a small radio.

Best place to buy a ic-7000?

Even if HRO ships it to you and your state has sales tax, they will still charge you the sales tax. IF I'm not mistaken. I have also heard bad things about the Cali store. You may be better off calling the store in Nevada. If you call the store, they will ship from which ever store you call(if...
