Did you ever check to see if the collector voltage was dropping at the mirror board when trying to modulate the radio.

Does the voltage at the mirror board drop while modulating the radio in AM mode? it should stay solid and/or increase with modulation.

On a lighter note, there is incredible technology being developed that will make all our lives better.

You can get more bass in your audio if you use "G" strings from a bass guitar the next time. LOL!

Yea I don't know I just sent a fully restored LAFAYETTE HB400 radio back to a customer yesterday it 23 pounds and a pretty good size 17 by 15 by 14 and it was only 28.56. that was from Indiana to Virginia
