Hey back again. Sounded good out my way. It is special to catch members on the air, I agree. Cali has been a good direction for me lately. Mexico keeps appearing here and there. Far west coast area and then back E coast area with 404. Not sure if it was our 404 I hope so.

Some conditions here in SW MO. (417 Roadhog here) Got to talk with member 917 in Cali and 404 in Florida too.

So you're going to use the excavator to haul in logs and then when you get it to your location you're going to cut and split it, or how?

I've been burning wood the last few years in a little house. Mostly cut off of the family farm, and bought a little 25-ton splitter that was sure a shoulder and back saver. I bought wood last year and I'm trying to stay up a couple of years because of the catalytic blaze King stove I have.

Mine on post #10 pulls a week station in, better with some radios than others. Might not be called a pre amp but worked great with a cobra 2000.

Home today with it squelched on 23 a.m.. Radio kid from Central Cali broke the squelch so I went and had a short conversation with him. Not much else I hear except Spanish stations. I did give a yell on 16 LSB
