At this time this is the best factory manual I could find on the Kraco KCB-2340. The resolution on the schematic I saw on the CB tricks version is not high enough.
It's also listed in Sam's CB 162. A volume that I don't own.
The available schematics for all the other Citi-Fhone models show the same AC power plug pin configuration, so you should be OK in that regard….I just hope you don’t run across any “Silver Mica Disease” inside those old IF cans. Knowing the value of those internal caps and replacing them is a...
It looks like that GPS antenna was mounted just below the CB antenna’s coil windings. That probably didn't impact the SWR much. Especially if the GPS mount is made of plastic like I think it is.
So far this is my spliced version of the Sears 934.38260700 plus an enhanced PDF manual. For clarity I redrawn most of the long horizontal and vertical lines, but I may make additional improvements on it in the future.
Short story: Back in the day a fellow ham friend fried the PLL chip on...
It reminds me of an old Lafayette HE-45 6 meter radio. This is the schematic I found. I have a feeling the general layout is similar. Tube compliment etc….
I recently acquired an Instruction manual with schematic for the Granada CB-4. The Granada CB-4 and the SparkOmatic CB-1023 are basically the same radio. They were very common, and neither was covered by CB Sam’s or CBtricks. The radio examples I restored had bad finals and a few associated...
I buy my stakes from a butcher in Buffalo. Molasses supplemented Aberdeen Angus. It doesn’t get any better than that IMO. They’re fried on charcoal, never on propane.
Yes, many other 23 channel number plates will work. I have also modified them to fit on the appropriate knob, so at least that portion is correct for the radio. The problem is that I ran out of all my 23 channel plates, so I thought I would try to obtain an exact original first. I’ll probably...
I’m looking to purchase a 23 channel knob for a recently restored Pearce Simpson Tiger 23C. Other Pearce Simpson 23 channel knobs like the Tiger Mark2 will also work.
I have many Cybernet radios and countless Cobra mics. That’s one reason I usually rewire the Cybernet radio’s jack over to the Cobra standard. That way I can always try a many different mics. Like NZ8N stated, Cybernet mics are wired upside down. Look at my bottom diagram for the conversion and...
Note: For an external antenna connection in this case, I usually use a female SMA to female BNC adapter. Far more products support the old BNC standard, hence it will allow you more options.
What Blackview tablet do you have? The 12, 13, 15, 80 plus other Blackview USB-C boards are all sold on AliExpress and elsewhere. Most are connected with a ribbon cable inside and the boards are simply attached with screws. No soldering required. I see that some of the boards even provide...
I was curious about some of the early mics used in Bob Dylan’s new official trailer, specially this skinny microphone with the large windscreen as shown in the photo. It was mentioned that only period (1964-1965) mics were used in the making of this movie. Thanks to others asking this same...
