    Striped out thread fix

Using Vinegar will also help in removing it from hands, etc. before it hardens. Does it say what the temperature rating is?

Been hearing a lot of CB users on 7300's

7300, yes very nice radio's for sure, but for using on 11 meters - just nostalgia. Give me the money for what it cost and I'll put up a bigger beam.

    Striped out thread fix

Tip: when applying any type of thread repair, just coat the threads with "Pam" cooking spray or Johnson Past Wax and you won't have any problems with not getting the screw or bolt out.

    Fairbanks in last night.....

502 in a mobile was putting a good signal all the way down into B.C., Washington, NV, S. Cal. It was a short qso for me. I heard him tell a guy in NV that he was hitting the 3k mark - which I believe to be true, for I did talk to him one day last week. A "normal" station (lol) couldn't do that...

    Beam Suggestions

Oh don't worry Flying J, with 5 element and 100 watt radio, you won't have a problem getting to the west coast....unless maybe you are 100' below sea level or calling from Europe or Asia!

    Northern Canada...

Well now that is something that I never thought to ask him about QSLing. But I will probably have to ask him next year. He did say that he has only been there for 10 yrs. and that he was originally from Newfoundland. I forgot to mention - the contact took place right close to 9:00pm (Pacific)...

    Northern Canada...

Last week I was able to make a good contact to the region of NWT (Northwest Territories), Yellowknife does not have many radio op's there (maybe 3-4). What was kinda unique was, this is the same time frame (April) that we had made contact last year with each other on 38 lsb. Also going back -...

Was at my favorite gun store

I use Ammoseek also like S&W357 stated, I ordered over 2500 rds off that site for my 17 Win. Super Magnum Rimfire last year. Back in 90's I bought a case of 5,000 rds of PMC in 22 LR and they all worked very well. Sold half of them to customers and no reports of miss fires ever came back.

Remington Brass? I am like WCSOG, I really hated their 22-250 brass for loading, to soft and light weight. But, their 270/'06/7mm mag brass was good and never had any problems with it. Winchester brass is all I every used for the 22-250. If I was to buy just factory ammo now days for rifle &...

Was at my favorite gun store

The only Remington shells that I have bought in the last 20 yrs or so, have been just their high performance 12 shotgun shells. These were great for the long shots on coyotes, but sadly they stop making them a year or so later, probably because of the price - $31.30 a box of 10! That's $3.13 ea...
