Yeah this seems a pretty low-priority law enforcement action. Let somebody come knock on your door. Tell them it was a drone. You flew it, crash it and tossed it in the trash weeks ago. They can go look for it in the landfill if they want.
So this leads me to ask: What Year and some Brand/Models did the very first "Export" CB's with Factory Extra Channels appear? - I would not have thought it dipped into the late '70's but I'm not sure.
Have a Fluke 87 Series III. Boasts ultra high accuracy on DC Volts. Retailed for nearly $400 but found a good one used on eBay for $65.
I never shy away from buying previously owned high quality items to save the $$$
Ahh Yiss ..... but keep it at an 80. Don't be tempted to double it to a 160 if you have the space ..... those 160's are so much wire they become lightning magnets !!
80M Loop has always been a favorite of mine but requires a tuner to go everywhere. Friend has an impressive antenna that's been around forever. Cut for 80M, is a Doublet fed with ladderline. 80~10 + low to no SWR across the band - no tuner needed. Needs to be up as high as possible.
I always liked the looks of that radio in the '70's, the 23ch Base also with similar design. On the mobile the bottom mic mounting seemed weird. I wish they continued with the aesthetic design when they changed over to 40 channels but they didn't.
They definitely are running too much power. The ones around here goes for a couple of miles too. I'm in a mountainous area so if somebody has one up at elevation then they go many more miles
Never heard the Dog Collar thing around here but I scan MURS both base mobile full time just to see if I run across anybody talking on them to chat with. Biggest problem here is the damn Driveway Gate Alarms that using the freqs. either broadcasting Voice or DTMF Tones signals. They're...

I've been looking there occasionally for a few things recently and am surprised / not surprised to see so many fewer listings with people running away in horror I guess. Especially with ham rigs .... you could look for a model and find dozens of them listed and now it's one or 2. I know I don't...
I've given up on the SMH response here to people wanting things what the great majority would consider to be old ridiculous boxes of junk. People like what they like ..... :cautious:
I had the Antenna Locking Ring keep getting loose on my TID HT. Got one of these a couple of months ago to fix. Called an X Wrench or X Tool - Has 4 sizes, should fit most everything out there. $10 on eBay
