this wasnt anybody i know the radio works fine i did see some you tube videos showing FACTORY fixes off the line that looked very similar not the same location but using the same "CARDBOARD" so Im not sure what is going on BUT the number on the chip says its for the CMOS
wish i knew i cant find it anywhere im about ready to send back get my money back looks like a hack mod job or the cmos was bricked and that was the fix who knows

Well guys I followed some your advise..... I just got a FT920 Yeasu...... A friend of mine had one before he got the FT3000 said he loved it so he actually picked it out for me I got a great deal IMO on it $675.00 was $800.00 but he accepted my offer. I will fill ya in, in a few days on...
Just an Update I got the radio to modulate and its loud no hacks or mods done I can now use a standard mic no more power mic, and reduce dynamic to around 25% i just re soldered and relocated some components on the small mic PCB and wallah it all works
Well I'm looking at the Icoms or the Yeasu I prefer a base style chassis not mobile But Ill take what the best deal gives me at this point....I Really would like the FT3000 Yeasu a friend has it, it is too kool and too much, so today my mission is research Im not buying any exports thanks...
