My area has several 2 meter machines, and most of them get a fair bit of use, mainly during drive time mornings and afternoons.
Dont have any 440 machines around Joplin running, there are a few just out of my radio range.I try to get into them when I am in those areas on my way to work...
Try online video games.....better chance of finding a YL ...or some one that plays a YL there than on the radio.
I cant personally recall seeing any young YLs at a ham fest...unless they were really young...16 or younger
Looks liek there will be several keys on the market soon....

Still hearing eu1a on 18.140.50 well enough to make a contact
I tend to avoid 20 meters,I hate to say, simply because there are a couple of groups that run that band that are somewhat anti ...well...everybody that dont kiss their a$$ . ...
I have heard these people key over others, cuss out people, and generally be royally rude to people that dont see...
Sounds good Tall !!
Sounds like you are doing your homework.
I dont hardly ever hear anything on 160 either except 7 to 9 on my meter of static ..so I leave that band alone usually...
My favorite bands are 80 ,and 17 to 10 meters ...with 17 at the top of the list
I think Doc had a thought pop into his head and he felt the need to post it for future reference
Lord knows there have been times I wish i would have posted or written down something when the thought came to mind ....with my steel trap mind ( to bad it is a sprung trap) it is almost required
