grids-DM76, CN86, CN87 . Not too bad. One of the guys was mobile and one guy running a stainless steal whip.
I don't know if this will help but here is some info. Looks like some differences in how to measure. I think it may be short go up past 40 and see if the swr gets better.

Andrew, I don't have ant experience with the 827 but I have a Sirio Tornado and had a chance to compare it to a Imax 2000 in same location. The Sirio was better in tx/rx and was quieter. The 827 seems to have a little better gain so I say try it! Good Luck.
That a nice 2m Moxon HomerBB, I just recently built two 2 meter antennas. I built a halo antenna its horizontal and a portable 4 element yagi thats a combination of PVC and aluminum rod. Keep those antennas coming!!
sorry the Yagi is a picture of a picture quality not great.
Near my house if you look at 2m, 6m, and 70cm there are 90 repeaters within 25 miles and 224 within 50 miles 77 being 2m. So i guess it just is a matter of where you live as to how many repeaters there are.
Dang it i slept past the regular time unless you guys went late. 75m here last night went from s9 noise to about 30 minutes later down to s5 and signals almost doubled . Now i'm mad i didn't up and contact you guys.
The repeaters in my area are pretty busy and we have a lot in the area. I have just started doing some simplex and that has been pretty busy also. Soon i will try some SSB but so far have not been able to get out and do that. Tram makes a pretty nice dual band base antenna with decent gain thats...
Great build K3ACZ, looks like about the same size box. I started to put my connections on the side. Have you used it and how long does the battery last? I need to post a picture of the inside of my box , totally forgot to do that.
Moleculo, are you talking about a solar panel? I don't have a solar panel at this time. I did do a on air test the other day. Ran the radio for 6 hours making contacts at 5, 10, 20 and 40 watts but a lot of the time was listening but did have 3 or 4 15 min qso's. starting voltage was 13.3 at...
