One thing you can also try is adding a resistor in series with the audio lead(between radio and mike).. (10k to 100k range )Ive had good results using a 47k resistor. </p>

If I remember right it goes like this.............. 1.Audio=White 2.Ground=Sheild 3.Receive=Red 4.Transmit=Black That should do it but!....... Some midlands may need 3 and 4 reversed,so if radio keys when plugged in switch the connections on pins 3 and 4. Good luck.... </p>
