    11 meter is very quiet?

Worked 605 in Texas yesterday afternoon from Seattle, mobile. The band seemed dead but I called and he called back armchair copy!

    New Icom 7100/BHi mobile install

Thank you, it is pretty clean (almost looks stock but as my uncle used to say, "I do the rough work fine and the fine work rough)! The tuner and rest of the 7100 nestle pretty nicely under the passenger seat.

    New Icom 7100/BHi mobile install

It is pretty light. Near close to the weight of my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I started with an articulating arm but ended up with heavy duty velcro. I'm going to adjust it to be angled towards me but it is just right.

    New Icom 7100/BHi mobile install

Oh, sorry, yes, a Sirio 5000 mounted to the lip on the back hatch. Running a 1.3 SWR so I may change or adjust that. But the 5000 is fantastic for DX mobile.

    New Icom 7100/BHi mobile install

Last night I finished off my mobile install. I had been gathering all the bits and pieces the last couple months. The box and antenna tuner are under the passenger seat. What you see in the pic is the had unit and a BHI noise cancelling speaker in the cubby under the stereo. Not sure I'm in...

    TOMCAT'S CONFIDENTIAL REPORT/ CB UNDERCOVER! S9 Magazine October 1978

So, I transcribed an article from S9 Magazine into something I hoped would be more readable. I hope you enjoy. If you have any other good scans of old articles you want cleaned up, please let me know and I'll get it done! Maybe we can save some CB history by doing this... so please do reach...

    Yaesu FT-1000MP Mark V Field & Kenwood ham radio transceiver MC-60 Mic - $1,300 Shipped (US/Canada)

Everything works, has some collins filters. MARS mod, no others. I have had no reports other than excellent - but I can only operate 10m on HF. The original owners manual with voluminous notes. I'm afraid I can only guarantee it works, I have no measuring devices. Here are some pics when I...
