im going to be honest here.
i started hanging around the local ham radio shop got invited to a few meets and radio contests
got into the idea of meeting new folks and exchanging ideas
and then i started noticing folks were either snobby or very very nosey
and its was going to be this way or no...
front of toolbox as in right next to the cab or mounted to the toolbox towards the tailgate
the amp sure wont like it for very long
if its up against the cab move it away from cab give it some breathing room
have the at&t come back out an redo the lines
had the same problwem with dishnetwork came back out found the line was kinked and exposed and replaced the line and no problems
also have them look on the back of the unit or in the handbook see if it states anything about subpart 15

how about you leave the finals alone and have deadkeying 2 watts and let is swing
and i will send you a 300 watt base amp for 100.00 plus 25.00 ship tube type amp
static to you my be a noise that someone might recognize
can you record it and post it up so we can hear it to get a better understanding what we listning to
and maybe record it for like 5 minutes
ouch i hate to say this
i had a large plasma and then one day i started picking up this nose and like you said it just filters thru the channels
then one day the noise stopped and so did the tv.
now i got a LCD and have no problems
maybe your is fixin to go out as well :oops:
i like all 3 boxes
if it was my choice then i would have to go with the man that wanted my money along the same line that wants my respect.
i know for a fact these guys are busier than a 1 legged man in a jump rope contest
as for worldwide good boxes but all my calls dont make contact

how much power are you wanting to get out if it
thats about normal
might get a few hundred more watts but it will depend on the drive of the radio
those were designed to operate with a 1 to 1 1/2 watts deadkey and modulate to 15 to 18 watts
any more than that and you are seeing Ghostwatts

this amp does not require alot of drive or pep to run it
if you have to much deadkey and to much pep then you are overloading it and causing it to splatter.
anything from 2 watt to 3 watt deadkey pep to 12 to 18 watts for drive
is ok anymore is to much nad running a export radio wont help...
